Fee increase for Commissioners for Oaths proposed

RM4 charge has remained for 18 years, call for review in response to higher cost of living

THE RM4 fee currently charged by  Commissioners for Oaths to certify each document should be increased to RM6, said Johor Baru member of parliament Datuk Seri Shahrir Abdul Samad, who is also adviser to the state Commissioner for Oaths Association (COA).

Shahrir said the increase, which the association has been fighting for, is reasonable due to the higher cost of living.
